Against the vast blue sea the
Lakshadeep islands look like emeralds. Each island in Lakshadeep is fringed by snow white coral sands. The Lakshadweep islands are linked to the mainland mainly by ships, though air service is also available. The 24 hour cruise to this wonderful land amidst the Arabian Sea, begins from the port of Cochin, in the mainland.
The Tourist ships operating to Lakshadeep Islands are m.v.Amindivi & m.v. Minicoy. The seating capacity of these ships are 150 passengers each. There are no cabins in these ships and the class of journey is by A/c Chair Car. The travel time from Kochi ( Cochin) to Agatti island is 24 Hours and the passengers have to spend the night in the push-back
chair.
All visitors ( BOTH Indian & Foreign Nationals ) to Lakshadeep Islands require Entry Permit. For arranging the entry permit, the following details should be submitted at the time of package reservation.
Foreign Nationals - Full Passport Details viz., Full Name, Nationality, Permanent Address, Passport Numbers, Date and Place of Issue, Date of Expiry, Date and Place of Birth.
